ALH Queensland Raises a Whopping $3 million for Breast Cancer Research

We are so proud to announce that our inspired team throughout Queensland has done a fantastic job in raising funds for Project Pink, part of the PA Research Foundation, in the fight against breast cancer.

Spearheaded by QLD Operations Manager Sally Lee, Queensland venues raised over $345,000 in only three months from May to July 2021. We were completely blown away when the cheque was presented, and couldn’t be more proud of each person involved. This impressive figure contributed to exceeding the milestone $3,000,000 total raised by ALH Queensland.

We’re thrilled to share this news, and look forward to continuing to raise funds for this and other projects.

SA VENUES RAISE OVER $24K FOR CAMP QUALITY

Though 2020 was a difficult year to navigate, one thing ALH Group’s SA venues did not lose sight of was raising funds for a great cause. Camp Quality is an organisation that provides support and activities for kids facing cancer, to let them be kids again. Despite a global pandemic, 33 SA venues raised over $24,500 last year. Well done, team.

Geared up for another great year, the goal for 2021 is to reach over $50,000 through fundraising activities such as sausage sizzles, gold coin donations and shaking tins for spare change.

Julia Sinclair, ALH Community Program Coordinator said, “We are pleased to know the funds will be going towards local camps in 2021 as many were cancelled last year. Knowing that we are putting a smile on the face of brave children facing cancer and their families makes us feel honoured to help.”

Look forward to seeing what 2021 brings for this wonderful organisation helping children who need it most.

ALH GROUP SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY BUSHFIRES

ALH pubs have and are undertaking many activities to support communities, people and emergency service personnel involved and affected by the recent and ongoing bush fires.

We will have a range of fundraising initiatives in our pubs as well as making a significant group financial donation and recognising the efforts of the amazing job done by all those fighting the fires.

We will also have charity tins on our bars provided by the Salvation Army for customers who wish to make a donation.

Funds raised will go to the Salvation Army bushfire appeal.

Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the devastating bushfires.
